These quality pump buckets are made from selected leather in order toensure a good quality bucket. Leather being absorbent has the advantage of conforming to the shape worn pump cylinder and so maximizing pressure.
The No.3 is a pliable bucket that has proved satisfactory for medium or softwater. For hard or artesian water the No.1 bucket may be necessary. This isa hard bucket manufactured by a different process. The skin of the leather ison the inside. This ensures that the bucket is not weakened by any tailoring necessary when fitting to a pump cylinder.
